Get an Early Start
- Projects that are started early are more likely to be successfully implemented
.
- Only the top five Eco-Projects overall will contribute to your House's Eco-Project Quality Points.
- Only completed projects will count towards your House's Eco-Project Quantity Points.
- Projects that are started early have a better chance of overcoming barriers and red-tape.
- Projects that bear on energy conservation and waste reduction will have greater tangible/documentable impact if you start early.
- Houses are also ranked on these metrics, so all the more incentive to start soon!
- ex. distributing CFLs to replace incandescent lights will result in lower electricity usage as soon as it is done
- ex. installing missing storm windows will do much more to reduce this year's steam usage if done in the fall rather than the spring
- ex. pairing trash cans with recycling bins may dramatically increase recycling yield once done
