3. Buy organic, shade grown, and fair trade coffee and organic tea.
4. Ask your building manager for recycled, unbleached paper towels for the bathroom

6. Set up a compost program
If there is a lot of food waste in your office or department, consider setting up a composting program. Contact the Sustainability Coordinator for your school (Gosia Sklodowska, FAS and GSE; Krystal Noiseux: HMS, HSPH and HDS) to schedule a meeting.
7. Ask your building manager to install water conservation fixtures in your kitchen area and bathroom
From low-flow aerators to dual flush systems for water closets to waterless urinals, there are many effective water conservation solutions that have already been tested in many Harvard buildings. Refer your building manager to the Harvard High Performance Web Resource for detailed information on available products or visit the site yourself - if you are interested in installing these fixtures at home!
