Harvard continues to move forward with the exploration of alternative energy sources, and a new study will allow the university to see if wind power can meet some of Harvard's energy needs.
With the recent installation of a 164-ft meteorological tower (MET) and wind meters (anemometers), the university plans to collect data over the next 12-18 months in order to assess if (and where) wind turbines would be effective energy producers on campus.
Visit the University Operations Services website for more information about the MET project.
